White, President of Bakery Innovative Technology (BIT Corp.) announced the
launch of a joint development program to create a new set of powerful
Windows software tools for the Food Processing Industries. The new venture will marry FORMULATOR™ and PRIMS™ functions to allow Bakeries and other Food Manufacturers to control their recipe development, develop Quality testing, target and calculate nutritional properties then interface to laboratory and production scale controls to actually prepare the products under computer control. The new software interfaces will allow food manufacturer’s to better meet Title III of the Food Safety Bioterrorism Act and assure nutritional data is developed as recipes are created or modified to meet market requirements. In addition to developing new formulas, FORMULATOR™ with PRIMS™ allows the Food Technologist to create Nutritional Labels, define Quality Control Tests, output test batch tickets and archive test results as development of the recipe progresses. The Quality Manager module archives and documents QC test procedures and identifies critical control points to be monitored when the recipe is transferred to the Production Plant. Formulator Software, LLC supplies FORMULATOR™ for recipe development and improvement, nutritional calculations and cost analysis with QC test functions and Nutritional Label output. BIT supplies PRIMS™ recipe control software with proprietary scale interfaces and production materials record keeping. Both products can interface with other ODBC manufacturing and accounting software.
