Formulator Software LLC, Inc. has announced FORMULATORÔ Version 4 with Quality Manager at the International Coatings Exposition. Version 4 also adds full Formula Costing Analysis that provides the tools to add packaging, labor and overhead to the already fully functional raw materials costing calculations. REGULATOR Version 4 adds multi-language capabilities and shipping label output, including hazardous information, and meets the announced hazardous MSDS requirements for 2005. FORMULATOR continues to provide all of the latest graphics tools and calculation power of the Windows environment to aid the Formulation Chemist’s rapid development of new formulations and modification and improvement of old formulations. INTEGRATOR provides a data exchange capability between FORMULATOR and ERP batch manufacturing ODBC compatible databases.

The FORMULATOR "Quality Manager" module has been developed to extend FORMULATOR’s materials and formula specifications, testing and control, and reporting functions to the QC Laboratory. It also provides the tools to define materials and formula specifications to meet both company and customer requirements and then test and archive batch additions and test results. Quality Manager utilizes the Quality Control Test definitions created in FORMULATOR’s QC Editor and the QC Procedures and tests created by formula with its Formula development editor. It also provides the capability to define specifications and create Quality Test Tickets by defined batch and by customer, which are tied to its own batch tickets or to batch tickets from integrated Batch Manufacturing software. Quality Manager provides the user tools to record and document multiple QC test results and material adds by formula batch. It outputs the data to a listing for batch analysis and creates a Certificate of Analysis by batch, by product, by customer.
