Formulator/ QuickBooks
Integration Checklist
The following chart of account numbers are needed from your current General Ledger. This information is then entered into the Integrator.ini configuration file that is required to integrate with Formulator.
· Inventory
· Sales
· Cost of Goods Sold
These account numbers are required for raw materials, intermediates, packaging items, and finished goods. The same account numbers can be used for all four categories, or they may all be different. These are the accounts that will be assigned to new items that INTEGRATOR adds to QuickBooks automatically during integration.
You must be running the latest Formulator version. It may be downloaded from http://www.formulatorus.com/
1. Both Formulator and QuickBooks must be installed on the workstations that we will be running Integrator.
2. The QuickBooks SDK will also need to be installed on all workstations that will be running integrator. This does not automatically install with QuickBooks, but should have been delivered with your QuickBooks software. Example: QBSDK110.exe.
3. For the sessions we will need to connect with a workstation that has the 2 above steps completed. This workstation must have an active internet connection and be permitted to install the program on the local machine.
4. For the configuration we will need to log into QuickBooks in single-user mode and as as the Administrator.
5. Integrator will not work with assemblies in QuickBooks
6. All inventory items that will be shared with Formulator must have the exact same code and be “Active” in QuickBooks.
7. Formulator cannot integrate with “Assemblies” in QuickBooks. All items must be entered as individual inventory items in QuickBooks.
8. If items do not exist in QuickBooks or in Formulator, the Integrator can create them in the package that is missing the items. They will be created with the same code.
9. Account numbers must be set up in QuickBooks for inventory (asset), sales and cost-of-goods-sold.
10. Make sure you have a backup of both the Formulator and QuickBook databases prior to integration (standard precaution).
When this check list is completed contact support@formulatorus.com to schedule an online session to complete the Formulator/ QuickBooks integration.
